How to build hydrogen generator for gas stove?

Hi All, It looks like hydrogen generator being widely discussed, especially during high oil price. I already got several information regarding hydrogen generator for car/truck, while I also interested to apply this technology for gas stove. Have you guys got any advise for me?

1. You could also use sodium and water to make hydrogen. Recharging a lead acid battery will also release hydrogen. All that you need is a 6 inch water column of pressure for the stove, and pipe the hydrogen into the regulator for the stove. You might need to change the orifice jets for the burners however. A better method of fuel production, however, would be to use the anaerobic digestion of cow or pig manure to produce methane (natural gas), pipe that through a jar of calcium water (powdered limestone), to absorb the CO2, and a jar filled with steel wool to get the sulfur dioxide, and then on into the stove, or what ever else you are going to use to burn the gas in. Hydrogen is nice, but it can be tricky. It is also a lot easier to make methane than it is to make hydrogen. The older issues of Mother Earth News had several plans for producing methane.
2. Yes, forget it, it is a scam. It uses a lot more energy (costs a lot more) to electrolyze the water then you can possibly get by burning the gases. In addition, the gases are extremely dangerous and will explode at the smallest spark. I can go into a lot more detail, but basically it violates the second law of thermodynamics. Or, you can't get something for nothing.
